Helping Hands Bring Sunshine’s
We are committed to engage the community and revive HOPE in the area. A 2 story building has been donated to HHBS in exchange of medical services for the community. The community health center will provide primary care and dental services. In addition, With the amount of trauma suffered from the earthquake, the citizens of Cabaret need more than just a regular school, but a community school. A community school is both a place and a set of partnerships between the school and other community resources. Its integrated focus on academics, services, supports and opportunities leads to improved student learning, stronger families and healthier communities. On June 2010, Children Aid Society (CAS) agreed to offer technical assistance to HHBS and to guide HHBS in this community school project.
HHBS long term focus is to bring hope, empowerment, and a level of independence to the communities we help in Haiti . Our deepest desire is to one day see Haiti restored and prospering. We believe that time is…a breath…a second…a blink away!
School in Cabaret
Our community development will be building a school in Cabaret. This project is a collaborative effort that will include an infrastructure program, school supply drive, and a yearly tuition funding for the boys and girls in the area.
As part of getting the community involved, we will use the local talent to assist in the building development process by offering crew person positions to those interested in participating in building the school.
