Our 2017 Mission & Distribution Trip was a great success. 

Your generous donations helped distribute hundreds of Perishable Food Packs & School Packs (with school supplies) to the kids of the school and allowed our HHBS ambassadors to screen the adults in the communirty for high blood presssure and diabetes. From the bottom of our hearts - thank you for helping us feed a mind, one child at a time.

Helping Hands Bring Sunshine is entering its 7th year and we are so proud of what we have accomplished with your support, dedication and trust.

On November 4, 2013, using generous donations from our supporters, we implemented a hot food program providing one hot meal a day to each student and teacher.  What a great day it was for everyone!  It reconfirmed to all of us that with your Helping Hands we can Bring Sunshine to all of the students and teachers.

This year the HHBS team & ambassadors will travel to Haiti on November 9th to distribute:

• Health & Wellness Kits (soaps, lotions, oral care and feminine hygiene products)

• School packs (with pencils, a box of crayons and a notebook)

• New t-shirts and shorts sets

• New sandals

• In addition to our distribution, the HHBS ambassadors will offer high blood pressure and diabetes screening for adults in the community.

• We will then celebrate the day with our annual HHBS lunch with the community!

• Deodorant

• Toothbrushes & toothpaste

• Creams for yeast infections (high incidence from our last mission trip)

On June 17th 2017, HHBS sponsored a celebration for the children who graduated from Kindergarten.  The day was full of great food, cool drinks, music and dancing.  The students and teachers really enjoyed the party!

We recently received so many donations from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN). A big thank you to Sonia Nelson, President of the AACN, for collecting and packing all those boxes of clothes, toiletries and shoes for HHBS!

These items have been distributed by hand to the community of Haiti and the HHBS school.
